Situation: famous artist, missing fresco. Problem solved? Perhaps.
Art work detective Maurizio Seracini (what a cool job!) believes that he was found a missing fresco by Leonardo da Vinci. Based upon sketches and written accounts, they have an idea of what this fresco would have looked like.
Interesting that we have this discovery while the ever popular Da Vinci Code is still, er, popular. Even more interestinly, this discovery involves…da Vinci. (And all my friends and family know how difficul it was for me to refer to Leonardo as da Vinci.) Coincidence? perhaps. Increased interest in art “mysteries”? Most definitely.
