well, here ya go…

Rick has been on me to blog…and I’ve been on him to change the title from Alicia McLane’s to Alicia Beckman’s….clearly we both suffer from a lack of initiative.

However, while I’m at home, and not working on school stuff, I’d love to be able to do design work. I’ve done a few things online for people whose sites Rick works on. All of them are fellow members of the Fellowship Hall:

  • Glen’s site: I created the splash page logo, as well as another green vector image in use on the Fellowship Hall (registration required to use that particular theme).
  • Ryan’s site: I created the Bible Sender’s logo in the left corner.
  • Mike’s site: I did the three crosses on the top left.

I LOVE doing this. Another thing that I’ve done a few of recently that I also really enjoy is wedding invitations.

This is one I did for my friend Becky. This is pretty much exactly what she wanted, however, in the end decided that all the ribbons took too long, and went a different direction. However, I still love the design and think that it’s a great invite…simple and pretty. (ignore the somewhat flattened bow…scanners, sheesh!

Also I’ve done a tri-fold pamphlet, which I really enjoyed. And I have a friend who has given me some ideas to make one for her, but that one would be mostly for practice..not sure she’d actually use it.This is one I made in school for a paper company called Yupo.

(you have to imagine them as one paper double sided, and folded nicely)

With that being said, I’m am thinking of creating a site specifically dedicated to design work and hopefully one that can be used to procure me some business. Will have more updates on that as it actually unfolds.

Okay, I fixed the title of your blog, as well as your name in the copyright notice. :) Sorry for the slackerness of it all! :)
