I spent most of my day yesterday in tears. I experienced one of the most hurtful moments of my life (not that I make a list…but they tend to stick out and be remembered.)
When I was finally alone on my drive home, I was able to let it out as I couldn’t really before: loud uncontrolable sobs. In the CD player was Krystal Meyers (go figure) and in a moment of my own silence I heard the words, “Everything will change/But You remain the same.” And suddenly the tears flowed anew, but this time it was because I remembered that though the situations in my life seemed completely flip-flopped from the way they were before, God has not changed.
Though someone who was family but really became my best friend, someone who I watched grow up, someone who’s smile had always made me happy, someone who I used to talk about constantly…though this person’s feelings for me can change, she can quit liking me, I was reminded that God loves me, no matter what.
