The incident in class Wednesday got me thinking. Obviously we are entering winter and it will be getting colder outside. Typically mice sneak their way inside so as to avoid death in the bitter cold. Rick and I only recently moved into this house and we do not know how well she holds up to mice in the winter. So, as of this weekend, I have started a strict training regimen with our cats on how to systematically and utterly destroy any and all vermin that might enter the house. Daisy seems to have the hang of it. Jasper isn’t quite past the “smacking it around” stage.
Training.

Mice I can handle. Train ‘em to eat spiders. Thus far since living here, I have had one escape my shoe as my foot was entering into it and one hanging out on my pant leg for I-don’t-know-how-long until I noticed it.
Both were about half-inch wide spiders, but neither were as large as that one that mysteriously disappeared at the apartment a few weeks before we moved.
