birthday drive.

arrowfor my birthday this year, Rick had the day off, and we decided to go to Indy to spend some time with my family. We went and mirrorsaw a movie with my mom, and then later had dinner at Noble Roman’s with some other family people. I didn’t get many pics at the movie or dinner, so I took a few on the trip over to Indy (which is about an hour and a half drive).
We went to see LeiThe Pursuit of Happyness. Pretty good flick. I cried a couple times; once was a scene with homeless people lined up around the block to get a room for the night…I think I was even more effected when I read that they used people who actually were homeless (they did pay them for their part). farm

Noble Roman’s was good as always (definitely have to get the cheese pizza with extra sauce.) I got several nice things from my family, but one that was a real surprise was that mom bought me Sweeney Todd on DVD. I have listened to the soundtrack several times, but have never seen a performance of it (and I was thinking I’d have to wait until Burton’s version of it hit the theaters.) Needless to say it was quite good, and I’m even more looking forward to seeing it done by Burton (even though I have a hard time imagining Johnny Depp as Sweeney…though I could totally see Helena Bohnam Carter as Mrs. Lovett).
