Self-portraits

Alicia Beckman: Self-portrait 1After an entire post about having nothing for the blog, I spent a while today taking self portraits. (it was mostly because a photo forum I go to made a challenge for “full-body shots.”) So here are a few of the ones that turned out relatively decently. It’s rather difficult to get the focus right when I have to stand behind the camera to do it, and then run in front for the picture…perhaps I should invest in a remote control for it. Also, not having a tripod made for some interesting attempts to “rig up” some way for the camera to remain stationary.

For not owning a tripod, though, I think you did a great job with these images. I guess it helps that there’s nothing much at all upstairs yet! Now if only the walls were something slightly more exciting than paneling, like black with a field of stars & Enterprise and Voyager images! :)
