I thought this teacup planter would make a cute prop…and perhaps someday it will. But Daisy would have nothing to do with it, and Jasper only found it interesting when I threw a treat into it, and then of course, he’s Jasper, so he always moving, so all pictures end up blurry.

This is the least blurry, and most interesting shot.

Rick saw an image like this somewhere online, and mentioned it to me. I spent about half an hour trying to get it to work, believe it or not, rings don’t naturally stay standing on end in the crease of a book. (However, the tiniest bit of sticky tack does what patience can’t.)

anamorphic perspective.

skull 1No one quite knows for sure why Hans skull 2Holbein the younger decided to put a skull in his picture called French Ambassadors, but we do know it’s there. We can see it, sort of, in the first image, circled in white. He did not paint the skull in correct perspective with the rest of the painting. However, looking at it from the side, one can see the skull in correct proportions.

Gotta love anamorphic perspective.

Today is Rick’s last day of his little 4 day vacation, and since I finished my midterm yesterday, it’s a fairly relaxing day for me. Rick also just recently purchased a new computer, and decided to transfer a part from his old computer to my computer, claiming it would aid in the graphics of my computer. I stayed in the room to watch the transfer and help hold back wires, blah blah blah. I also took several pictures; they may not be masterpieces, but I definitely thought they were fairly interesting.

And, afterward, I took Rick’s guitar upstairs for a few pictures. I really like how these two turned out. Rick’s comment upon seeing me editing the last one: “WHOA!!! That was pretty risky, don’t ya think?!?!”
